Experienced Baker/ Pastry Assistant:
Flour Craft is seeking an experienced baker/ pastry assistant to strengthen our growing team! Full time position is available, including both weekday & weekend shifts. You should be available on both weekend days and early morning hours (6am). You should be comfortable with daily production demands and working in a professional environment.

Our original bakery is located at 702 San Anselmo Ave in downtown San Anselmo.
Our newest bakery/ cafe is located at 129 Miller Ave in the newly renovated Mill Valley Lumber Yard.
Both locations are located close to public transportation, and have ample car & bike parking.
About the position/ key responsibilities:
As a baker at Flour Craft, you will be responsible for handcrafting our full line of pastries as well as fresh breads, under the supervision of our production manager.
You will also decorate special occasion cakes & cupcakes for weddings and birthdays that include custom decorations and personal inscriptions.
Make various types of dough such as brioche, sourdough, and various bread doughs.
Shape & bake off pastries and breads according to our specific standards. This includes operating commercial ovens & large mixers.
Organize weekly bakery production in an efficient and structured way.
Maintain a clean working station at all times, as well as an organized inventory of dry storage and refrigeration.
Operate quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, time-driven environment, while ensuring consistent, high quality products.
Minimum 1 year experience as a baker/pastry position in a high quality bakery or restaurant.
Culinary degree is preferred.
You enjoy multitasking, and work cleanly and efficiently.
You are a strong team player and show eagerness to learn. You're willing to lend a hand wherever and whenever needed.
You are punctual and reliable. You arrive on time and can work early shifts & weekends.
Must have the physical ability to carry out the functions of the job, which includes but is not limited to, spending a full shift on your feet, lifting <50lb.
Valid Food Handler's Card is required.
Have a positive attitude and take pride in doing quality work.
Enjoy a fast-paced & energetic kitchen environment.
Have proficiency with cake decorating.
