Heather Hardcastle eliminated gluten from her diet over 20 years ago. When she found it difficult to purchase the sweet treats she craved, she decided to make them herself! Using the techniques she learned at The Culinary Institute of America, and through much trial and error, she mastered the art of creating gluten-free recipes that had incredible taste, quality and texture.
Together with husband and business partner, Rick Perko, Flour Craft opened their first retail location in San Anselmo in 2013. They quickly became the areas finest gluten-free bakery, satisfying those with dietary restrictions and surprising those without. With a second Marin location at the MiIl Valley Lumber Yard, opened in 2018, Flour Craft creates their seasonal menu from local ingredients in a dedicated gluten-free facility.
Providing fresh bread, a large assortment of baked goods, and plant-forward brunch & lunch options, their cafes are a welcome addition to the Marin County community.
